Australia won their sixth World Cup champions title after defeating the unstoppable Blue Army in the final at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, 19 November.

- Skipper Rohit Sharma laid a solid foundation at the beginning by hitting 47 runs off 31 balls, but later, Glenn Maxwell sent him back to the pavilion.
- Virat and KL Rahul made a significant contribution to setting a high score. Virat Kohli scored 54 runs in 63 balls, while KL Rahul played intelligently to score 66 runs in 107 balls.
