What is PCOS?

Polycystic ovary syndrome [PCOS] is a chronic state of health. In simple words Hormonal Imbalances.

In which ovaries produce unsual amount of Androgens.

Androgen

Androgen is a male sex hormone which promotes masculine characteristics.

These hormones are basically present in women in small amount.

A woman diagnosed with PCOS mostly feels sick and fatigue because of its uncountable symptoms.

Symptoms of PCOS you don’t know about

  • Infertility
  • Irregular periods or spotting
  • Depression
  • Acnes
  • Oily skin
  • Bloating
  • Stomach pain
  • Joints pain
  • Mood swings
  • Deficiency of Vitamin D
  • Loss of scalp hair & Hairfall
  • Dark patches around the neck & other body parts
  • Unwanted facial Hair
  • Overweight or obesity

If you notice any of the symptoms, consult a gynecologist immediately.

Because if it’s left untreated it can bother you in future.

CAUTIONS

Managing PCOS is a challenge but you are a warrior.

A little change in your daily routine can help you to manage PCOS symptoms.

Healthy Diet

Our unhealthy eating habits can make PCOS symptoms worse. Be attentive when it comes to choosing your plate.

What should I eat?

  • Eat colourful veggies especially , green leafy vegetables, Broccoli, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Carrot and peas E.t.c
  • Eat varities of Fruits which are low in Glycemic index.
  • Add omega 3 and Omega 6 Fats in your plate.
  • Add lean proteins

Beauty sleep

Good sleep is essential for PCOS patients because it plays a vital role in hormone regulation. An adult should sleep for at least 8–9 hours. It can help to reduce stress- level and insulin resistance. Getting enough sleep can have a positive impact on your health.

Sleeping fewer hours makes us feel lazy and irritated throughout the day.

So make sure to sleep on time!

Weight management

Often, Women with PCOS struggle to lose weight due to hormonal imbalances.

It increases hunger and cravings which become the cause of weight gain.

Even a 5% weight reduction can have a positive impact on PCOS.

Here are some ways that can help you to lose weight without dieting

  • Wake up Early in the morning and walk for an hour.

For a slimmer body, a person should take at least 10,000 steps in a day.

  • A 30-minute walk after every meal
  • Don’t overeat
  • Stay hydrated
  • Choose the exercise wisely

There are some exercises which help in slimming the overall body.

  • HIIT (High intensity interval training)
  • Core strength
  • Strength training
  • Yoga
  • Meditation

Say no to stress

Stress somewhere is the root of PCOS. It can worsen hormonal imbalances and make it harder to manage PCOS effectively.

Therefore, it’s important to control stress for good results.

To reduce stress , practice relexation, Mindfulness meditation, Be Active, Laugh more.
